Why We Started This Project
We are passionate about finding a solution to local food insecurity. We are in the early stages of launching a ready made meal program growing hydroponic lettuce on the DP campus to deliver 100 meals per week to local residents. Coordinating with the school administration, teachers, staff, outside companies, AND creating a team of students all accountable to a part of the process has been a huge learning experience. Helping other young people to learn to care about something and then put action into what they care about is really important. Many students care about issues but don’t know how to get involved. Helping put those opportunities front and center and making it easy to join a group and giving everyone the confidence to speak up is something we are passionate about.

FounderDid you know hydroponic farming uses way less water than regular farming—like 90% less? Our team is growing fresh lettuce right on campus and turning it into healthy meals for people in our community.
